Bishop Joe Frank Burns and Pastor Cleo Burns welcome you to experience the wonderful spirit filled ministry of New Generation Christian Center, Thomasville GA.
Founded in 1994, at New Generation believes that people matter to God! Our desire is to please Him so that we may become a congregation of fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
We make a difference by offering a strong, supportive family for fellow seekers who are attempting the risky business of living life with values that are not always understood by society.
We place a high priority on corporate worship and learning in the context of caring, sharing relationships. Discipleship has been a major emphasis of our Bishop and wife. Sacrifice, commitment, faith, prayer, servanthood, separation, outreach, salt and light are all ways to describe what the ministry God has created here. We look at the past as our starting point, but do not rest upon it for the future. God has instilled in our leadership as desire to continue to grow and reach those around us.
Many travel to our services and events from throughout South Georgia and Northern Florida. Our Church is open to everyone. Each Sunday after worship we spend time in fellowship and friendship together, and you are invited.

Ministry to Women
|

HIAM serves women in ministry, politics, corporate America, education and the community. Our focus is on building excellence in life, then in the various places where today's women are called to lead.
The establishment of this ministry is designed to equip, empower and engage women in leadership with the necessary tools to motivate the women in their churches to rise in every aspect of life. Victorious women are well balanced women who understand the need to reach every woman right where they are in their walk with God, i. e., married, single, career-oriented, widowed, the young, single parents, the seasoned and the different.
This ministry will work directly with the leadership to women in churches/ministries to meet the needs of those you serve. While striving for efficiency and effectiveness in your day to day lives, you must remember also to discern and seek wisdom for that which is to come.
We are designed to help you with this. It is the desire of this ministry to assure you produce first class disciples, established in excellence. Thus, we offer the following opportunities to work with you and serve you:
- Plan, organize, and implement an annual workshop, seminar or some other type of hands on learning method to promote and unleash the excellence of your women's ministry
- Provide proper training for ministry leaders
- Assist in developing a team of disciples for your ministry
- Assure each team knows their proper vocation
Networking opportunities through round table discussions and/or on site visits prove vital in jump starting and moving your ministry forward. Additionally this will aid in moving ministry from within the building to building community.
